She is most recognized for her roles in films including Ghosts, Dopesick, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Star Trek: Picard, The Resident, Why Women Kill, and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. She debuted as Hetty Woodstone, the deceased lady of the manor, on the CBS comedy series Ghosts in 2021.

She is married and engaged to Lap Chi Chu, a New York City and Los Angeles-based Chinese American lighting designer best known for his Off-Broadway productions. They married on October 10, 2015, in Boston.
